Prolongation of CANQA project |

For achievement of objects and desired results of the project, the European coordinator Carlos Machado, and the Central - Asian coordinator Natalia Nikitenko have sent a request for extension (prolongation) of the Tempus project Central Asian Network for Quality Assurance and Accreditation-CANQA.
On October 25, 2011 Mr. Klaus Haupt - Head of Unit Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) has given formal permission for a continuation of the project CANQA before June 2012. Below you can find an official letter.

Memorandum between ENQA and CANQA |

On November 14-15, 2011 in Shymkent (Republic of Kazakhstan) was an International Scientific-Practical seminar “Kazakhstan’s Education on the way to European quality standards through the accreditation of educational programs”.
During the seminar the Memorandum about mutual understanding and partnership between European network of quality assurance (ENQA) and Central-Asian Network of quality assurance (CANQA) has been signed. The purpose of this memorandum is development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of the quality assurance in higher education and distribution of the European Standards and recommendations for the higher education quality assurance in the Central Asia.

Pilot Accreditation |

In the framework of the Tempus project "Central Asian Network for Quality Assurance and Accreditation"-CANQA, it has been planned a pilot accreditation in the following universities:
Kyrgyz Republic:
-Kyrgyz Economic University
-Osh State University
Republic of Tajikistan:
- Khujand state University named after Gafurov
- Tajik State University of Commerce
Republic of Kazakhstan:
- South-Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov
- Kazakh National Pedagogical University named by Abai
These universities have given applications and reports for self-evaluation to implement accreditation programm by Accreditation Centers on Quality Assurance. Period of the pilot accreditation - from December 2011 to February 2012.

Structure on self-evaluation report of the university |

In the international seminar for internal and external experts of quality assurance and accreditation, which was held on August 29-31, 2011 in Issyk-Kul lake (Kyrgyzstan), in the framework of the Tempus program, Central Asian Network of Quality Assurance CANQA was decided to create a unified structure on self-evaluation report of the university.
It was sent two structures on self-evaluation report of the university by the external experts from the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, which were sent for discuss to the project experts. After long discussion and comments, it was decided that each country will have its own structure of the self- evaluation report. In making this decision it was also taken into account the characteristics of each country.
